Lil Al started rapping in 1996 but recorded his first mixtape in 2001. Lil Al originally Allen Matthews Jr, joined a group in 2002 by the name of Mo'Set. Its nine artist combo featured the likes of Lil Al, Milo, Prince Charles, J-Real, Matt T, Mike D , Lil Red, Young Murda and C-Beeze.
Lil Al Being the youngest artist in a group full of talent helped Lil Al develop his knowledge of the game and helped develp his lyrics.
In 2004 Lil Al linked up with Edie Edwards for E&J Entertainment and their main artist "Homage" and been on the grind ever since. Lil Al consistently drops mixtape after mixtape and makes sure the world hears them. You can find Lil Al grindin these mixtapes at all your local hot spots in Houston.
